To Bra or not to bra, that's the question

Burn that bra, figuratively ... or leave the stretchy confines of their decades-long nemesis in the dresser. ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

In the “stay at home” age, bras are quickly becoming a forgotten addendum, relics of a former life. Many women will tell you that one of the most satisfying moments of any given (pre-Covid-19) days is when they remove theirs with glee—which begs the question, why not live in that joy in perpetuity? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Bras are intrinsically tied to the modern feminist movement; it’s nearly impossible to separate the two. But in a recent Q&A session hosted by French influencer Sabina Socol, she says that she never saw going bra-free as a feminist statement, but then again … “Now that I think about it and realise that many women feel ashamed if they go braless, I think it kind of is. In a perfect world, I wish this wasn’t even a conversation. That would be real equality. If we have to make it a debate, then it means we’re not there yet.” ⁣⁣
