Coats and blazers were constructed from 30 per cent recycled bouclé cashmere fused together with slender black leather stitches. Unsold pieces from previous seasons were also given a second life as the minimalism and tonal dressing trend were being integrated and transcended to fresh proportion, new hues, and updated classics. Buying unused fabrics and repurposing old stock, “sustainability” isn’t just an industry buzzword for the New York-based Uruguayan designer, but rather a way of life. Having grown up in the Paysandu countryside, she developed a deep-seated respect for nature that still influences her every move.
