Fashion weeks for Paris Men's and Haute Couture have officially joined the ranks of cancelled high-profile fashion events due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The Fédération de la Haute Couture (FHCM), the French fashion industry's governing body, announced on March 27th that the shows would not go on as scheduled, delivering another deep disappointment to an industry struggling to come to grips with the coronavirus calamity.
PFW Menswear was set for June 23rd to June 28th, while Haute Couture Week was slated for July 2nd to July 9th.
As the pandemic steadily spreads across the world, so does its impact—which plagues the fashion industry starting in the midst of the Autumn ’20 fashion month season. The virus causes brands and design houses to shut their doors and postpone upcoming runway shows.
