Following a sharp spike in the number of coronavirus cases in our country, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin went on live television last night as he urged Malaysians to break the chain of the Covid-19 infection. Meanwhile, all we need to do is #JustStayAtHome, it’s that simple. Since we have the Movement Control Order implemented, this is clearly and crucially not the right time to travel back to hometowns while taking the measure indifferently. According to The Star Online, some citizens even went on “Cuti-Cuti Malaysia” and joined the large crowds at tourist spots, at least, until last week.
As many of us are #WorkingFromHome, there are those who are still clocking into work as usual. They may be scared, but they are out there for us. They are the healthcare workers on the front lines, food delivery riders, the fire rescue department, and more.
Meanwhile, new hashtag trends are emerging such as #KitaJagaKita, which means we take care of one another, while others use #StayHome to spread the knock-on effect of the movement around positively so that everyone exercises prudence in such important matters. Here, BAZAAR put together a light-hearted string of updates for entertainment and safety purposes.
